简介

The Whole World Turns It Off is the 5th studio album released by the San Francisco Bay Area based group Wagon Band. The album opens with "Loving You", a pop-rock hit with a lot of commercial potential written by Charlie. It is followed by three straight country songs written by Steve, "Blackie's Pasture", "Taking Off On a Train", and "Kickin' Up Dust". This definitely sets the rustic mood for the album and features some of Steve's very best songwriting. The fifth track is entitled "Find Me" and it is a co-write between Anthony and Lowell. It is about a heartfelt yearning to find the true love of one's life. Next up is "Automatic", which is so eccentric and wild that it is somewhat hard to explain in words. Listen to it. Track seven is a co-write between Lowell and Steve entitled "Won't Be Far Behind". If you care about family and appreciate the bonds that exist for a lifetime, you will love this one. Another heartfelt song about falling in love follows next, called "You Remind Me". Steve wrote it for his wife, back when they got engaged. Anyone who has ever fallen in love but wasn't able to see their cherished one for some time will be able to relate to this. Track nine features a co-write between Steve and Anthony, entitled "Somehow, Wednesday". Steve wrote the music and Anthony added the lyrics to this excellent pop song. Track ten is Charlie's next contribution, "Construction". While it may sound like a work song, it's actually about constructing love, something that is important to many of us. And Charlie closes out the album with "All Cried Out". It is a masterpiece and excellent ballad to wrap things up. "The Whole World Turns It Off" contains a heartfelt blend of country and rock. The eleven songs making up the album all have strong commercial potential and carry genuine sentiment and feeling. These are songs written from the heart, that a listener can relate to and receive personal meaning from. The music is mostly electric and acoustic guitar driven, with amazing guitar solos along the way. Among the songs, country hits such as "Blackie's Pasture", "Taking Off On a Train" and "Kickin' Up Dust" are complimented by catchy pop numbers such as "Automatic", "Somehow, Wednesday" and "Find Me". And lead track "Loving You" is considered to be very radio friendly with huge commercial potential. "All Cried Out" is one of the standout songs on the album and a perfect closer. The track "Won't Be Far Behind" will tug at your heart strings and make you cherish the time you spend with family members just a little bit more. Produced by Lowell Hall and John Rewind. Released on September 30, 2008 by Little Brother Recordings LTD.
