Lina G is a singer/songwriter whose music reflects her love of singing, dance and her history with the performing arts. Whether it’s a song to get people on the dance floor, a heartfelt ballad or songs of inspiration; her music covers a wide variety of styles. With influences like Michael Jackson, Santana, Anita Baker, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, and the earlier greats such as The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, & Earth Wind & Fire; Lina learned that the music spectrum was broad and full of amazing sounds…and she wanted to be a part of it. With the guidance of her longtime friend & vocal coach (Doug Sinning – Berklee College of Music Graduate) – she found the voice within and wanted to share it with the world. Lina has since performed as a solo vocalist at the Hodges University Diversity Festival in Naples, FL – February 14, 2009 & March 6th, 2010 (where she debuted her first original song “It’s On (Tonight). Lina was also invited to appear on the Lee Pitts Live TV show during his Summer Music Series in 2009. Before that, she was cast in Dorothy Marcic’s RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women at the Darden Theater. Lina also worked for Universal Studios (as Mabel in the Blues Brothers Revue Show). Currently, Lina resides in Southwest Florida where you can catch her performing weekly with the area’s premiere party band…The Crashers!
