"Pawn Shop Tattered Heart" marks the third CD for the Johnny Hawthorn Band and pushes the band forward to a more polished sound favoring more riff oriented songs.

Recorded over the past few years, the project started out as a "just for fun" two song project and gradually turned into a full 11 song project. Throughout the course of the project, different rhythm sections were used which gives each song it's own character and flavor. Additionally many different guitar sounds and amps were employed to give each song a layered effect with different sounds coming in and out of the mix.
