简介
Legends of the mythological Phoenix are far-reaching:Egyptian, Greek, Chinese, Arabic and Native American cultures all carry the tale of the great Phoenix. The Native American bird symbol has been found across Canada and the U.S., and similar figures have been found throughout Africa, Asia and Europe. The phoenix was depicted on the first Great Seal of the United States in 1782. (It was changed to the eagle around 1902.) Throughout the many cultures the Phoenix represents high virtue, grace, power, prosperity, strength, peace, purity and life. Wherever it is found, the phoenix is associated with resurrection, immortality, triumph over adversity, and that which rises out of the ashes. That is why the Phoenix holds special meaning for me. I lived most of my life in Detroit, Michigan. I struggled many years there to be successful as a musician to no avail. Since I arrived in Phoenix AZ nearly two years ago my life has truly risen from the ashes spiritually, personally and professionally. I also was exposed to a lot of Latin culture and music. This album marks my first attempt at writing Latin influenced music. It is also my second release in two years of instrumental music. I extend a heartfelt thank you to the people of Phoenix and the great state of Arizona for their support. Also, thank 's to my good friend and Luthier Tom Pellerito for hand crafting a beautiful ,custom nylon string guitar that I used exclusively on this recording. This instrument was many years in the design and making but I finally have what I always wanted in a guitar - BRAVO TOM! I also want to thank Fishman Transducers ( Hi Scott ) and Bose, ( Hi Eve ), for their support and dedication to excellence.
