This song came about one w**d infested day many years ago with Jack Rayner. He pulled out this beat, and mused on how he loved it, but no one had thus far been able to write anything to it. I said...hmmm... I like it -- give me a minute. Went in the other room, and wrote the first verse. I didn't think it was for me (I still don't), but it was out of my comfort zone, so I wanted to do it anyway. We recorded it, and thought... "YEAH," because those are the kinds of thoughts you have when your on pot.

We went home, and I said I'd write the second verse to record the next day. Jack called me and said, "the second verse should have 'pop rocks' in it." I said, "...huh?", and Jack said, "I dunno. I'm sure you'll figure it out." So I did. And that's how this song was born.
