Born in San Diego California Terell had a normal child hood but that was quickly changed by the abrupt and emotional separation of his parents. Which forced him to mature and make the most impactful decision of his life. Either he choose to keep his relationship with his mom and sister or his relationship with his father. This decision is the reason he is a transplant to the Virginia Beach area. Terell picked up writing to deal with emotions of confusion, frustration and sorrow. He soon realized he had a talent for putting words in melodies and creating melodic and catchy songs. From this realization he thrust himself into recording under the name Young Rell. He had instant success with his mixtape “ Not Quite Me.” His singles “I’m fly, Ex Wanna Text Me, and I’m bad he took radio and created a community of fans called the Red Cup Gang. Through his personal and musical evolution the name and the mission have changed. Now 25 Terell is focus on pushing the limits of music and his talents. “I consider myself an artist not a rapper or singer. I feel those labels limit and undermined my talent and the sound and value of what I’m trying to present. If I wake up with a country song in my soul, that’s what I’m going to record.” With his fearless drive and ambition Terell plans to bring reliability and honesty through quality music. He is Currently Focused on an EP called “Beyond Normal” Perfectly named because it embodies Terell’s different takes on many different genres of music. Terell has his eyes set on history and not fame. Through his positive outlook and all or nothing worth ethic Terell will reach all his goals for himself an his family.
