Donna Maralyn is a well cultured songwriter/ lyricist, born Cassaundra Crutchfield. She has been broadcasted and recognized by some of the most phenomenal recording artists of our time. Born in the US, she has been exposed to multiple cultures from all corners of the earth. Donna Maralyn is multi-racial and bi-lingual. She grew up moving from home to home constantly loosing family, friends, clothes, and some of the love that she needed to get past the pain and hurt in her life. "It urged me to want to be better ,I had to do better.", Donna Maralyn says on a recent interview ( 2015, HeatStreak Media Group). She went on to speak of her child hood dreams and how she had no choice but to be successful. At the age of three Donna Maralyn would sit on the floor in her grandmothers closet and loudly hum or tap and sing to drown out the ways that she felt. "At an early age I learned how to cope using music, sound, beat", says Donna Maralyn. She feels as if she has way more than singing, dancing, acting, writing, rapping, and arts under her belt.
