These spiritual chants and songs come alive with the soaring vocals of Stella and the strong backing of Jack’s playing. Stella’s vocal versatility is reflected in the power of the kirtan tracks Om Nivah Shivaya and Kali Durga Mantra, and the tenderness of Sri Ma Jai Ma and Oseh Shalom. Producer Jack Lee contributed the rich instrumental settings for Stella’s vocals. The chromatic hammered dulcimer provides the shimmering background to The Gayatri Mantra and his Hawaiian slide guitar on Oseh Shalom-Amazing Grace is exceptional.
