东联西合（EWC) 的诞生基于一个简单的缘由：2015年, 乔希·马丁被邀创作一首阿卡佩拉（中文清唱并纯人声伴奏）歌曲。 在这首歌曲的制作过程中, 他意识到可以将这种歌曲形式发展并推广至更大的规模。 因为所有的声音都靠人声，若要演出清唱音乐, 必须要有非常有才华的歌手。 虽然乔希与一些才华横溢的美国歌手们一直有联系, 但他在中国并没有这方面的资源。直至2016年10月, 他与娱乐界一位资深主管的一次重要会晤改变了这一切。 来自东方的几位歌手从此陆续加入，与西方的歌手们共同将EWC发展至今。 EWC 不是一个简单的团体, 而是志同道合的才华横溢的歌手们的群英汇。虽然 EWC 的成员会不断更迭, 但是我们的使命始终不变，那就是: 创作崭新的, 新鲜的, 优美的音乐, 并通过音乐帮助那些需要帮助的人。 EWC 有两个主要目标: 制作新的, 新鲜的, 美丽的音乐, 帮助那些需要帮助的人。 目前, EWC 提供了我们音乐50% 的收益, 以帮助资助不同的慈善机构。 我们目前正与中国的两个不同组织合作, 以更好地满足遭遇不幸的人群的需要。 The East West Collective had a very simple beginning. In 2015, Josh Martin was approached with a request to produce one song, a cappella (all voice), in Mandarin. During the course of that song’s production, the realization came that this could evolve into something on a larger scale. ​ With a cappella music, you have to have very talented vocalists since all the sounds are produced vocally. Though Josh had connections to very talented singers in America, he was starting from nothing in China. In October 2017, a fateful meeting with an entertainment executive changed all that. Since that time, several singers from the east have joined singers from the west to craft EWC into what it is now. ​ EWC isn’t a “group” but rather we are a collection of different singers that have come together for a common goal. The individuals who are a part of EWC will come and go, but, our mission won’t: Creating new, fresh, beautiful music, and helping those in need. EWC has two primary goals: produce new, fresh, beautiful music, and helping those in need. Currently, EWC gives 50% of the proceeds of our music to help fund different charities. We are currently working with two different organizations in China to better serve the needs of the less fortunate.
