简介

CDBaby doesn't have "Christmas Novelty Songs", which I'd like to see. It's a Holiday tradition, itself; From "The Chipmunk Song" by David Seville and the Chipmunks, to "The 12 Days of Christmas", by Bob and Doug McKenzie, from their "Great White North" CD, to "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer", by Ollie Yorgensen and the list goes on and on and on. Like that cute rabbit that advertises those batteries ! This one is by a distant relative of "Der Bingle", Bing Crosby, who goes by the name, Bing Bupkis. He's accompanied here by "The Krenshaw Kids" but they're also not happy about their relative's chronic, state of financial affairs, either. It's one of those Holidays where not only doesn't anyone get what they wanted, nobody get's anything ! No one's happy. They're all P.O.'d ! The song is actually performed by everybody's favorite, Randy Crenshaw, the "Kids", were his own darling and beautiful daughters and my oooooooooooold pal, John Gillies at Studio #9. was engineering. The music and lyrics and arrangement and even some of the performing, was done by Jay Cotton, composer for, "The Pee Wee Herman Show on Broadway" and co-writer, with the original performer, Homer Henderson, of the often covered ballad, "Lee Harvey Was a Friend of Mine" (last covered by Judyth Ivy Baker, who was actually Lee Harvey's old squeeze. Read her book, "Lee and Me", out now !
