After 7 rounds of chemo, I lost my hair, but not my love of living life ...  It was music that got me through, that kept me going. There was plenty of time to reflect, and write songs. I was especially inspired and uplifted by my favorite band, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. They kept me going through it all. And as soon as I was out, The Breakers were always ready for gigs... (sometimes two  in a night)... ready to spread the love, to celebrate every little thing. "​ Ryder lived five months cancer free, playing gigs all over the LA area, even expanding his fan base on a trip to Bali- his personal Heaven-on-Earth. He finally met and jammed with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros... a week later they played at his funeral. RYDER'S BAND rocks on, celebrating life- their's and Ryder's. Younger brothers, Reed & Woody, also trained vocalists, have stepped up to sing Ryder's lyrics. ~ And the LOVE pours off the stage. Celebrate Life After Lifeife! ~
