Eric Cooper is Richard Thompson meets Nick Drake. His songs are enveloped by insular moods and deft fingerstyle guitar ideas. The atmosphere of his music is dark, yet poignant. It's the bleak sincerity that he passionately expresses and the beautiful acoustic guitar sound which ultimately carries each song through.

Brood has a pretty self-explanatory title. It is just that…brooding. In a sense, this album is carried by the title track, which comes in at a whopping 17 minutes! It is definitely a bold undertaking with only guitar and voice, but this only makes his debut more epic.
