There are some songs that just hit home with feelings of connection. This song, originally performed by City and Colour, evokes very real and common emotions from my life. In deciding how to do my own take with it, it felt most natural to give it emphasized single hits of the melody with ghostly effects for the vocals. To make it even more grabbing, my dear friend and incredibly talented artist Nathan Kane added guest vocals. His sound adds thoughts of how these real emotions can exist even amidst being in the presence of others. My nomenclature and artist name "Yield the Ghost" resounds with this track as well since the name's meaning echoes the importance to recognize one's true and real self - even the sad and lonely bits. More so music has been my place of comfort, that while I am generally a positive and hopeful soul, deep feelings desire their own voice as they seem to exist as their own entity/ghost.
