Hello. Colony Collapse is a musical group that resides in the land of Kansas. We are an instrumental band composing music based on CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder). To further explain what CCD is, we will introduce the general idea. CCD is a epidemic that has plagued many hive populations in Australia and Europa. Slowly, CCD is reaching the U.S. Due to the collapse of the honey bee colonies, there is great fear that our beautiful pollinators will disappear from the earth, which will in turn eliminate many of the vegetables, fruits, grains, and herbs upon which humans heavily rely. Therefore, we are here to increase awareness to this modern tragedy, and create music resembling the wonderful insect, and what it might be like to go through the hardships that the honey bee may encounter due to CCD.
