If you have the pleasure of experiencing the intimacy of his solo performance, or the intensity of his hard rocking band, the one thing you will remember about donathen is his ability to capture your attention- and keep it throughout his entire performance. We all have a story. and donathen tells his through his music. donathen began his musical journey as a child singing in church choirs and performing in sunday school productions. He studied the piano at the age of four, learning classical music under several private instructors. Early on, his influences began with singer songwriters like James Taylor and Carol King and quickly spread to the rockers of the day, including Jefferson Airplane, Deep Purple, Free, and his primary influence, Led Zepplin. donathen changed his focus to guitar and began writing songs. To date he has written well over two-hundred songs. donathen attended Audio Engineering school in 2003 during which time he released his debut CD, entitled donathen. He re-released this CD with his band in 2004, and co-produced a video entitled "Georgies Song" for the rock the vote effort of the 2004 Presidential election. currently donathen is in the process of completing his third CD, entitled Rat Race, is performing locally both with his band and as a solo performer.
