Beginning with the delightfully folksy "Six American Folk Songs" by Thom Ritter George, Maurer and Neiwirth show off these pieces with exuberance and charm. The more standard flute pieces by Piston and Liebermann are performed with clarity and expertise. And rounding off the collection are three flute solos by Kupferman, Perna and Thomas. Each with a distinct charcter that the flute portrays.
