Produced by Lucas Pimentel, 2014. "Swiss Cheese & Butterflies" was written by Jonathan Ilizaliturri (John Turri) and Jessica Cabral in the Fall of 2013 and is the single of John Turri's soon to be released EP, "Four". In 2013, Ilizaliturri had written a completely different song and envisioned it as a duet; which he then approached Cabral about and asked her if she had interest in co-writing with him. In a compact and poorly ventilated practice room at their university, Ilizaliturri began to mindlessly play a completely different series of chords on his guitar which was accompanied by a spontaneous set of lyrics and melody. The duo to be could not help but exchange looks of excitement and wonder as they both felt they had stumbled upon greatness. Cabral and Turri arrived in the practice room that night around 10:00 pm and did not exit until after 2:00 am, the time at which they both had settled on structure, melody, and lyrics for the playful tune. It was these late hours of the night that captured the inspiration, spark, and longing that emanates from the catchy track, "Swisscheese & Butterflies". It was also in these late hours when Cabral and Ilizaliturri's love story began, they have been together ever since. Labeling "Swisscheese & Butterflies" as a love song could not be more accurate, as it was these notes and rhythms that catapulted the couple right onto cloud 9.
