简介

Da Candyman was born in Lynwood CA and was raised in Pasadena and Moreno Valley CA. Da Candyman always had a knack for music growing up and has been influenced by Tech N9ne, Master P, Ice Cube, Michael Jackson and his father J.EARL who sang with the oldies group Sly Slick & Wicked. Da Candyman began his rapping career at the age of 18 along with his crew The S.T.R.I.P. Clique(founded by his brother and main producer Mr. G-Rock). Since 2005 Da Candyman has independently released 4 albums, with his most recent being "Industry Reject", which features artists Project Pat, J-Weav, Lord Infamous, his father J.EARL, Jesta J and more. The album "Industry Reject" gets its title because Da Candyman takes on the music industry standards and vows to keep his independence. Da Candyman is determined to stay true to himself by not getting face tattoos or making music that will mold him in a certain category. The album has 17 solid tracks and deals with an array of topics from politics, relationships, the music industry to false prophets. The album does not lack club anthems and shows his growth and adaptability as an artist while dripping in independence. Da Candyman has performed at many venues and has performed with artists such as Tech N9ne, Suga Free, The Alcoholics, Too Short, Bubba Sparxx and more. He is also well known by major artists, having collaborated with artists from No Limit Forever Records, Jason Weaver, Project Pat, Three 6 Mafia members Lord Infamous and Koopsta Knicca, Members of 2Pac’s Outlawz, Crime Mob, Jesta J and more. He also worked with Arthur Romeo in the film “Cruel Will” and did voice over work in “Scott and Zander’s Crazy Night” starring Tony Danza. Da Candyman also took on the role of Tito in the YouTube web series "Who's Klassy" Sky is the limit for Da Candyman as he continues to build a fan base and craft his style. He is the co-founder of S.T.R.I.P. Clique Entertainment along with his producer Mr. G-Rock, who does most production for all releases. Mr. G-Rock is currently working on a compilation album that will feature some big names in the rap industry.
