An experimental collaboration between Stephen “King Luck” Williams (Toronto, ON) and Madison Elyse (Minneapolis, MN), Lady Lovely effortlessly bends genres to create a powerfully seductive style that is entirely unique. Raw and desperately honest, King and Madison utilize sonic elements from their widely eclectic backgrounds to give life to a jacked-up hybrid of superfluidity and introspection.

Their debut track, “Breakaway”, was born out of tumultuous times for both artists. Unhappy and exhausted, Madison had recently broken up with her live-in boyfriend, quit her office job, and was working at a mushroom stand at a farmer’s market. New to Chicago, King was desperately in search of a project that would serve as both a creative outlet and a place to call home. “Breakaway” was not only the first song the duo completed together - it was the first song that Madison had ever written. Although “Breakaway” describes the birth of new romantic relationships in an almost fatalist nature, it also serves as an uncomfortably remarkable exploration of sacrifice, sexuality and solitude.
