简介
In March of 2007 two hip hop artists were connected by a close friend and a common goal to enhance the music industry. Lyrakul was a talented writer who had unlimited potential to impact the industry. Lymeric was an established Christian hip hop artist who had performed all over North America. Lymeric was working on his second full length album and invited Lyrakul to be a featured artist on a few songs. When the writing process began the chemistry was dynamic and the wheels were set in motion. After recording several songs, the two decided to combine efforts and form a group. After much deliberation and tremendous effort to finalize a name, “Number Seven” was born. Lyrakul and Lymeric spent the rest of the year sharpening their craft in the studio while performing locally. In September of 2007, they finished recording their first critically acclaimed album entitled, “Something to Remember”. In January of 2008, always striving to reinvent themselves, the group decided to search for a new member that would add another element. After a nationwide search, Delora was added to the group to complete “Number Seven”. With Delora’s sultry vocals, Lyrakul’s mastery on the microphone, and the stage performance expertise of Lymeric, Number Seven began to gain momentum. Members of the group, have graced the stage with numerous top gospel acts such as Kierra “Kiki” Sheard, Vicki Winans, Grits, Kutless, K-Drama and the list goes on. In May of 2009, “Number Seven” began recording their second studio project. The first three songs were sent out as a single session entitled “The Appetizer”, which is a precursor to their full length album called the “The Main Course”. The full length album was recently completed, and much is to be anticipated as they approach the release date of their sophomore album. As the group takes on new challenges, there is one thing that is for certain. Number Seven has a style and presence that the music industry has spent a long time searching for. The group has continued to perform steadily across the country for different churches and non-profit agencies. These agencies consist of the Hope Pregnancy Center, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Pray for Darfur, Heart Support.com, Tennessee Department of Children Services, Community Partners in Clarksville, TN, Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center and the Wounded Warriors Transition Unit on Fort Campbell Army base. Their influences include hard hitting rock, electronic, reggae, hip-hop and r&b. Number Seven’s, positive content and faith based lyrics along with their diverse background has led to the group being in high demand. If you have not heard of them be patient. “Number Seven” is a musical beast that has just been unleashed…
