Unathi Gotyana known as Gaffi is Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) based rapper who came in storming mid 2022. What he might have not been expecting was seeing himself breaking the internet, Gaffi is chubby male rapper and went on snippet clip topless rapping his one of his songs titled “Izilatt”. Little did he know, his clip broke the internet, going viral in the Western Cape and by the time he landed in Cape Town he was already highly anticipated by fellow Kasi Xhosa Rapper “Rappers who represent the township and tell day to day to stories in Xhosa mainly”.

His first arrival was with a gig performance where he was given slot to perform at “July Babies: Mavala’s Birthday Celebration” and became one of the highlights. Since then, His name became household name in Gqeberha and Cape Town. He has been releasing throw aways on sound cloud with the aim of growing his brand. With his lingo and common use of the word “Machasa” on his lyrics and as he refer to himself, he debuts “Machasa Galore EP”, a well curated project with versatility. Gaffi have also produced 3 out of the 5 tracks EP, showing how much passion he has deeper than just rapping.
