Dennis Petersen - Muscian and Poet Dennis grew up in Joseph City, a small town in Northern Arizona, near the Navajo and Hopi reservations. He had many Navajo and Hopi friends during his childhood, and has developed an appreciation of Native American Cultures. Dennis has lived in the desert all his life and has come to love the unique beauty of the desert and mountains that surround him. He especially loves finding canyons where he can get natural echoes when playing. Nature inspires his music. When Dennis found Native American Flute music he found himself. Each song is an expression of the deep feelings that come from his heart and inner soul. His music is a reflection of his views of God, life and the beauties of nature. A favorite quote from John Muir, " Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul." As a husband, father and grandfather, he believes that the most valuable things in life are those that come freely.
