Onto the Streets is in part a response to the call from God to re-evaluate His purpose for our lives and what it means to be a Christian. Being in Church it can seem like what we see around us is what Christianity is about, and whilst on the whole everything that goes on in Church is good, when you compare this to the life of Jesus sometimes it can feel far removed. Jesus was called for a particular mission, one which He fulfilled, and we shouldn't expect our lives to be exactly as His, however I believe we are called to be like Him and to live like Him, so the questions is, are we? Jesus lived a life without compartments i.e. he wasn't the son of God one minute and then not the son of God the next, so to are we called to be followers of Christ at all times and in every aspect of our lives. I know that I could live my entire life hiding my faith behind the four walls of a Church or my home but I know this is not what God saved me to do. Jesus said "Therefore go..." and I pray that we will all have the courage to step out onto the streets.
