简介
"The Rust Pirates came down from the caves and hills to assemble all the broken volkswagen parts they could find. Like true wombles they fashioned them with hammer and anvil, saw, weld, nail and screw to create new vehicles from all the discarded, broken and rusty split screens, bays, beetles and buggies they could find. They were not interested in show condition vehicles; they were not interested in the shallow pursuits of everyday 21st century man; they were not materialistic; they were not interested in fashion or trend. They had an understanding, taste and appreciation of the finer but simpler things in life; good music, classic design, classic cars and simple but tasty food. Theirs was a divine purpose - to seek and speak the truth and convert, educate, or failing that, banish those who were not able to see, feel and hear the truth for themselves; for they truly were deaf, dumb and blind and in the new world order would not have a place; for they were nothing but consumers and there would be no place for them in the grand plan" The Story of Rust Pirate Revolution - KW 2011. In his own inimitable way, in this new collection of songs, Kludo White pays tribute to his classic guitar rock influences. You can taste and smell the leather, whiskey and sweat. Razor sharp lyrics, great melodies and piledriving guitar sounds, the songs this Album are in every sense a concept album essence of The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Yardbirds, The Small Faces, The Kinks, The Band, The Stone Roses, Supergrass &The Doors. It is a celebration of The electric guitar, the British Mod Movement and the UK VW Scene. The Rust Pirate Revolution is Act 2 of a three Concept Album series known as "The Vanthology" or "Van Oddyssey" Beginning with Camper Van Radio, and "allegedly" ending with The Camper Van Radio Christmas Album (although we hear Kludo has another one on the go on the quiet! SShh!) Journey through time and space like a King in a Volkswagen Camper Van; from the 50's to modern day with lots of stop offs, a good few laughs and some cracking music along the way.
