He has performed at Carnegie Hall (2011, with the band Arrest My Sister), The Roxy, Whiskey-A-Go-Go, The House of Blues, B.B. King’s Blues Club, and The Couch House, as well as at various colleges, casinos, weddings, clubs, bars, private events, fairs and festivals. Crazy Tomes has shared the stage and/or performed with musicians/bands such as America, Dave Mason, George Thorogood, Lady Antebellum, Temptations, Warrant, Berlin, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayall, Elvin Bishop, Michael Schenker Group, Tommy Castro, Canned Heat, The Blues Brothers, The Cowsills, 98 degrees, Fishbone, Fuel, Rome from Sublime, Ras Michael, Eek-AMouse, John Lee Hooker Jr., Koko Taylor, David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Remi Kabaka, and many others. He is currently the bass player for the Blues legend Guitar Shorty and the guitarist for Willie Chambers of the legendary R&B/Rock band The Chambers Brothers. He has also done recording sessions as a guitar/piano player with Jack Douglas (producer of Aerosmith, John Lennon and Cheap Trick), Jim Wirt (Incubus), Jim Morgan, Freddi Curci (Alias) and Burleigh Drummond (Ambrosia). Burleigh Drummond is also co-producing Crazy Tomes’s debut solo album. Crazy Tomes does both solo and full-band gigs and plays most guitar styles, from rock, to blues, to country, to jazz. Aside from electric and acoustic guitar, he also plays keyboard, bass, banjo and harmonica. He is a classically trained piano player and holds a BA in Music from the College of William and Mary. Known for his showmanship skills and energetic performances, which includes dancing while playing, doing the “duck-walk”, playing guitar with his teeth, behind the back, behind the neck, under his leg and even with a beer bottle, Crazy Tomes is a very entertaining showman/performer who gets the audience involved and the crowd ends up dancing, singing and having a great time!
