AHDÉDOTT "Hip-Hop got its start at the party. I'm taking it back to the party!" “Ah-dee-dott” Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Deirdre Vaughn, a.k.a. Ahdédott made her debut on the rap scene while attending Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 2001, Ahdédott began making a name for herself as an on-air radio announcer for KJLU 88.9FM and the rest is history. To her credit she wrote and performed on the Lincoln University theme song, “Furthering The Dream.” Ahdédott's first release "Ahdédott presents: Xklusive - It Is Not A Game" featuring her first partner in rhyme the real P-Dubb, went on to sell over 3,000 copies as independent artists. In the summer of 2004 her newly released Maxi-CD titled, “My Feet Hurt” hit the airwaves and the streets selling over 4,000 copies and in spring 2005 her 3rd released “The Best Of Ahdédott & P-Dubb” Classic Re-Introduction Album has sold more than 5,500 and is still selling today. In the spring of 2007 Ahdédott’s 4th released “Don’t Call It A Comeback” album has sold over 2,500 copies and is still selling. While busy keeping an ongoing buzz, in the fall of 2008 Ahdédott’s 5th released “The Ahdédott Experience” was her most highly anticipated album thus far. She has been performing live throughout the Midwest and the Southern region since 2000. Ahdédott has entertained crowds of thousands of die- hard fans on a consistent basis and gives back by lending her talent to community oriented events on a quarterly basis. In between shows and recording sessions, Ahdédott can usually be found with a pen and pad in hand creating more hits to add to her song catalog for herself and other artists. She was one of the spokespersons for Hip Hop H20, a bottled water company. Not only did she write a jingle, but she also produced the commercial that aired throughout the Midwest. Her talents not only include rapping and writing, Ahdédott is also a mentor for other upcoming artist and is now dabbling in producing and artist development. In 2007 Ahdédott became more than a starving artist; she co-founded GroundShakazz Muzik Group an independent label based out of St. Louis. With CEO status Ahdédott is still one of the best underground female hip hop artist to date. Her purpose is to attract and familiarize the unfamiliar to the all new style of hip hop music. She uses her voice as an instrument and her lyrics captivate her listeners. Her energetic style is a reflection of her hunger to succeed in the music industry, combined with a need to keep the party going. The audience defines the energy, the energy defines the style, and this best describes Ahdédott.
