Hello everyone! let me start out by saying that melody is the most important part of a song to me. If I can write something catchy, I will be happy. I use lyrics as a way to fill in the puzzle once I have got a melody to work off of. My hope with "Sparrow" is that with each song, you feel a different emotion. We have created a genre that I don't think fits perfectly into "Pop", "Folk", "Rock", or "Country"... But rather a mixture of all three. Each song on my album means something different to me, and I hope they do the same for all of my listeners. Strangely enough, as far as my songwriting process goes, I cannot pinpoint what I do exactly. In fact, I can't remember ever sitting down and writing most of my music. In an odd way, it is as if a higher power comes over me and writes the songs FOR me. At times, I feel like even I didn't write the songs myself, but I am singing something that someone else wrote for me. Of course this isn't the case, but it shows me that I have a gift for songwriting. I love it, and it just comes so easily to me. I hope that each song on my album, and future albums, will positively affect my listeners. :)
