Tochka BG is an acoustic group, established in 2011 by Bulgarian singer-songwriters Todor Yankulov, Plamen Sivov, Krasimir Parvanov and Zornitsa Popova. "August" is their fourth album. The 15 songs included in the album tell stories of love and parting, of innocences lost and the rediscovered marvels of the seasons, friendship and life itself. WIth regular gigs in major Sofia live music clubs and numerous concerts in Europe, the group is among the most popular indie acoustic projects in Bulgaria. Their music is rooted in the rich local singer-songwriter tradition, drawing inspiration from the local folklore, as well as from the French, Italian, Celtic and American traditions. The profound and touching poetry of Tochka BG (the name of the group references the Bulgarian internet domain ".bg" and literaly means "dot bg"; "bg" standing for "Bulgaria"), the rich sophisticated sound of their guitars and the tenderness of the four blending voices are the hallmarks of the group. "August" features as guest musicians the young violinist Tsvetina Panayotova, the jazz musician Boris Taslev (bass) and Bulgaria's most popular drums and percussion player Venko Poromanski.
