From his years as a top-call touring keyboardist, to writing and producing for major-label talent and headlining packed venues across the globe, Sam Barsh has solidified his reputation as an in-demand triple-threat, amassing substantial credits as a keyboardist, composer and producer in his still young career. Described as "phenomenally talented" by Jazz Times and a "Pianist with the gift of groove" by the New York Times, Barsh's professional career launched during his years on the road as a keyboardist for artists such as Avishai Cohen, The Brand New Heavies and Cassandra Wilson, and has evolved to include substantial contributions in a variety of genres. He has written and produced songs for major label artists Norah Jones, Aloe Blacc and Robin McKelle, performed with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Babyface and Roy Hargrove, toured internationally and released critically acclaimed albums with his bands Palter Ego and the Sam Barsh Band. Characterized by Vents Magazine as a man who "knows in his bones how to put a song together, Barsh co-wrote the song “The Man” (#2 iTunes, top 10 Billboard Hot 100, over 1 Million sales) from Aloe Blacc’s album “Lift Your Spirit.” He wrote 4 tracks on Robin Mckelle’s album “Soul Flower” (#1 France Jazz Charts), “Devil and Me” for Aubrey O’day’s “Between Two Evils” (#1 iTunes Dance), and produced and co-wrote “Dealbreaker” for Norah Jones’ project White on Rice. Barsh has appeared on over 30 records as a composer and/or producer, and on over 45 records as a keyboardist.
