Work on the fourth Earthkind album, "Down to Earth", began immediately after the release of "Goodbye Waves" in January 2016, and took nine months to complete. This concept album attempts to glimpse into the daredevil minds of skydivers and convey their wide range of emotions before and after they make a high altitude jump. The album includes more symphonic elements than previous Earthkind albums while retaining influences of metal, electronica, and New Age music. All music was written and composed by Ohio multi-instrumentalist Tony Parsons.
