Mothership Remixed, Pt. 2
简介
Sonarpilot Audio is proud to announce the second part of the ‘Mothership Remixes’ series. Part one featured sublime remixes of label founder Sonarpilot’s works from world-class artists Ramadanman and Simbad. Keeping the quality high, part two sees another two hugely respected electronic artists take on the remix duties. Oriol’s debut album Night And Day on the legendary Planet Mu label graced many of 2010’s best of album lists and won him fans worldwide. His garage-esqe beats, looping vocals and haunting melodies turn Flotsam into an uplifting club workout that would sit neatly alongside the music of artists like Sbtrkt and Falty DL in a DJ set. Remix number two on the EP comes courtesy of London-based, Japanese producer Kay Suzuki. Hailing originally from the underground broken beat scene, Suzuki has developed his sound over recent years to take in deep disco and soul, winning him the respect of tastemakers like Theo Parrish and Gilles Peterson. Kay’s remix of Namibia Nightflight builds to form an infectious, funk-driven, house groove with warm analogue stabs and live synth ad-libs permeating the track throughout. The Sonarpilot original mixes show once more his rich, clean and varied production skills, a sound ever inspired by people, places and travel.
