'Rising' is The Go Set's fourth full length album. It was recorded in Melbourne Australia in June 2008 with US producer Jonathon Burnside (Melvins, NOFX). The album incorporates the traditional sounds of the bagpipes, accordian, tin whistle, and mandolin, with distorted guitars, pounding drums, and political sentiment.

Reviewers have often likened the band to The Pogues, Stiff Little Fingers, Billy Bragg and The Clash.
