Rob Hes graces Tronic with three distinct tracks that showcase his mastery of modern production and groove manipulation. The title track is overflowing with warped synths and mangled samples, creating a tense soundscape over a snappy drumset. The air is immediately cleared, however, with the arrival of pulsing chords that propel the affair even further. On Legend, a bubbling bassline morphs into an arpeggiating juggernaut while a grinding rhythm section steamrolls at full throttle. Closing the EP we have Diva Gedrag which flips the script with tricky drum shuffling and distressed electronics. Razor-sharp hats lead the way and psychotic synthesis makes an appearance once again.
