简介
Music from "Forever Journey" has featured in programming for Major League Baseball. Steve Kornicki is a Los Angeles-based composer/musician who has had over fifteen years of experience in the music business as composer, performer, and CD producer. Steve's original music has a strong and memorable thematic quality particularly appropriate for visually-oriented media or live performance. Steve is a graduate of the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, PA where he studied composition & music theory with Jeffrey Mumford and guitar performance with William Peters. Being active as a composer of concert pieces and music for various media, Kornicki's mission is to dissolve barriers between politically defined "genres" of music and embrace all forms as equally relevant to the modern composer. Stylistically, his live-performance sound is a diverse blend of smooth jazz, new age and world music with a strong, rhythmic beat. As a soloist or accompanied by various local percussionists, Steve performs on a semi-acoustic/electric nylon guitar with a background of digital instruments. "Just like the prismatic cover art, the latest cd from LA-based Steve Kornicki - Forever Journey - is filled with a colorful spectrum of instrumental guitar sounds. A mixture of live performance guitar, smooth jazz and Euro-flavored new age topped off with the strong rhythmic beat of world music, the 72 minute Forever Journey can be described as Pat Metheny jamming with Weather Report. A great sounding album for instrumental guitar aficionados, the album features stellar performances by Kornicki on electric and acoustic nylon guitars, fretless bass, baritone guitar, flute and keyboards and fine percussion work from Steve's brother Kevin Kornicki" - Robert Silverstein - 20th Century Guitar Magazine - June 2003
