After AmrAmAr left his parents home and finished school, an outbutst of creativity was released in the production of an entire cassette full of music within 3 months. The years later he was preoccupied with 15 x changning location from Germany via England to the USA, from where he got offered to apply for a hollywood soundtrack. He jumped to the occasion and took the opportunity to produce a sinister soundtrack for the musical director Markus Nispel (Chainsaw Massacre 2), who was supposed to direct the Schwarzenegger-Movie "End of Days". So he quickly got himself a used Atari Computer and composed for 16 hours daily over a period of 4 months 4 soundtracks and one fake-interview with Schwarzenegger by sampling soundbites of a dozen Movies straight from the Videos without even having had a TV to watch any of those films. Nearly finished with the Soundtrack, the Computer broke down, overwrote all 4 backups and destroyed everything Until he managed to get himself a new Computer to recreate his compositions; Nispel did not want or get the job of directing this movie anymore, so the recordings were put aside in order to start a new career - to program websites. Two years later he added a text to the now obsolete soundtrack recordings and turned them into the material of the maxi single "Gate to another world", It took another 10 years to finally mix up all old recordings and release them in this debut album "The 23 years before 2012". This Album includes 1) the uncut and previously unreleased 1988 debut album "Play with myself " (needless to say, he innocently only thought about having performed all intruments himself on this album), 2) Songs made towards the end of the last millennium with Eckart Adam and techno legend Andreas Roll from GAIAtontraeger.com 3) And finally the world premiere of his master-piece, the maxi-single: "Gate to another world" . Interestingly those 3 tracks were composed before AmrAmAr's downfall as if he could forsee the years to come: First - a question about the purpose of life, secondly spiritual conclusions - both accompanied by dark sounds, and thirdly a beautiful uprising and ending. The very first and last tracks are different versions of the same song, so there is a larger circle to this entire production. The fact that there are 33 tracks on this album does not infer any relationship to the mazonic degree or the age of Jesus, but feel free to draw your own conclusions ;-) The fact however that this album refers to 2012 implies the hope for all of us to open our hearts and expand our minds a little further within this year. This is why AmrAmAr was not protective about his reputation and included a graphic of his downfall and uprising in the CD, to inspire others not to despair, but to grow out of the mud like a lotus flower and to begin to blossom.
