简介
On his debut album, James Marcus writes about common teenage themes; from the whimsical puppy love of "Call Me Blind, Call Me Crazy", to the fear of going to college on "Carry Me Back (From Boston)"; it even addresses the feeling of loneliness on "Hollow Times". From pop/rock to acoustic, the different feels of the songs represent the moods of the average teenager. James is an aspiring singer/songwriter, and simply wants people to be able to listen to his music and think to themselves, I know EXACTLY what he means. As a classically trained vocalist, a blues guitar player, and a pop pianist, his culmination of styles results in the varied sound given by each of the tracks. No two tracks are exactly alike, much akin to artists such as Nevershoutnever or Ingrid Michaelson. From the beginning to the end, the emotion of his music is nearly tangible, and it will still leave you humming his catchy choruses.
