Educate·S is a series of musical pieces published by the music publisher Edition·S. The idea for the series originated in a wish to build on the historical tradition in which the composers of a period wrote music that introduced music students to new musical experiences. In their time Bach, Brahms and Barto´k all composed music in which pedagogic considerations and artistic ambitions combined to form a greater whole for the benefit of children and young people in their musical development. The series continue this important tradition and have therefore in- vited leading Danish composers to write new pieces for the collection. Educate·S’s music series presents pupils with music that embraces the musical horizons and tonal worlds offered by contemporary composers.
