Amber Sweeney's latest seven song EP titled, Believing In Love started off as an impossible dream. In an era of home-studio recordings, Amber set out to capture the magic that only a major studio can capture. Supported by local businesses, like Ashbrook Medical and Ashbrook Aesthetics in Vancouver, WA, along with a bevy of other local businesses and individuals in her hometown of Battle Ground, WA and beyond, Amber was able to team up with producer Geoff Ott to record Believing In Love at the iconic London Bridge Studio in Seattle, WA. The production value of this EP is massive. All the instruments were tracked live: horns, strings, drums, bass, piano, keys, even the DJ scratches on The Great Northwest. "We wanted to capture the magic of a real musician who specializes in their instrument," says Amber, "and it was extremely important to me that those musicians came from all over the pacific northwest, not just one city." The EP features not only a full band, but five Grammy nominated and award winning musicians and vocalists, as well as the Battle Ground High School Vocal Jazz Choir. "Music makes such a difference in all of our lives, and I believing even more so in the lives of young people. I was so excited to invite the BGHS Vocal Jazz Choir to be on the album. I remember having opportunities like that when I was in high school, and I wanted to pass on similar experiences to the kids in my town," Amber Said. The songs are soaring and sensual, and as you guessed all about love. Whether that love is romantic, love for yourself, love for the path your on, or love for your hometown, this album is there to help you remember all the ways you believe in love.
