The Stacy Brooks Band was formed in February 2007, and Stacy was nominated for a WAMMIE Award in the "New Artist of the Year" category by The Washington Area Music Association that year. Fast Forward to 2009, in her short span on the blues circuit she has shared the stage with blues legends Grammy Award Winner Sugar Blue, Bobby Parker, The Nighthawks, Grammy Nom’d Billy Branch, The Kinsey Report, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Robert Stroger, Kenny Neal and Memphis Gold Lil Dave Thompson (R.I.P.) to name a few. Her highly anticipated debut CD, Love Peace & The Blues is coming soon in which Stacy wrote 11 of the songs. The CD features a duet with legendary Bluesman Kenny Neal and some other musicians you might recognize. As her blues mentors, Memphis Gold and Kenny Neal also serve as musicians and co-producers of the CD. In 2009 she was nominated for a WAMMIE Award in the Blues Female Vocalist category and her Live @ The Surf Club CD was also nominated in the Blues Recording Category…Stay tuned, she’s just getting started.
