This album was recorded in the midst of summer 2008. Sonically, It is the culmination of everything I grew up listening to and taking apart - the haunted vibe of Zeppelin's Headley Grange, the background mutterings and tape loops of Sgt. Pepper. Beach Boys nostalgia, and exclusive listens to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot for a month. It was about a vibe, and an attitude (attitude is everything). After experimenting with 4-tracks, computers, loud guitars and heady drums, it was time to record a proper LP. And it happened. There was a focused, conscious effort to construct the album in a deeply cohesive way. It is an idea paramount to everything released under the Brother name. Lyrically, Jack Kerouac's novel, On The Road, is essential to the temper of the record. His almost-biographical approach to the bohemian lifestyle of our friends conducted the lyrics in which I put forth. Because this album is an observation upon the human condition, it is about chaos and visions of grandeur! It is me and it is you, because I am young, and this is what I know (and fear).
