Wayne Richards and Southern Nights is an award winning band. Wayne Richards and Southern Nights was chosen to arrange the country side of the Portland Trailblazers theme song. Wayne has awards like the song of the year for Portland Songwriters Association and a winner in the Dallas Songwriting competition in the Singer Songwriter category. The album "Notes from a Journal" was just reviewed as excellent in Portland's premier on line entertainment monthly "Positively Entertainment and Dinning". Dave Carter once said "Take a heart as big as he western sky and then completely invent a new mousetrap around it and you'll have something like a song by Wayne Richards" We are very proud to cover Dave's own Texas Underground on this album.
