After the introduction there is a series of four different original melodies, each describing challenge or victory. The song is a happy celebration of triumph. 2. Beyond Beyond. Blast off, accelerate to the limits beyond, blast again, accelerate beyond beyond. Distinctive original riffs by the lead guitar describe the preparation, the acceleration, and the ride as only a guitar can. Rapid alternating picking is displayed in several different styles, and it drives the song into the highest frets on the lowest strings. This song shreds picks and breaks strings. 3. Another Shootout. This recording revisits our double award-winning song Shootout with a new lead guitar interpretation. Perhaps it is more rock-n-roll and less Western, but it is different. 4. Run. Let our fingers do the running, and run they do. It is a whimsical counterpoint to a musical direction for the opposite. 5. Flying Guitars. In the introduction the guitars lift off, gracefully, and they glide melodiously through the sky. 6. At the Beach. After the traveling introduction this song has three different melodies. First you are in the water. Then you're looking at the stylish people on the beach, and then you are relaxing and steaming in the sun. Repeat. This is a new recorded version. 7. A Day in Tokyo. There is a distinctive Japanese feel to this song, with hustle, energy, crowds and excitement. This is a new recorded version, it differs from previous. 8. Waterfall. Classic surf energy, motion, twang and of course sliding glissandos. 9. Squid Squad. Underwater energy and motion. The squid stalk relentlessly. 10. Solving the Puzzle. It's a catchy challenge. The lead guitar dramatically alternates single notes with double and triple stops. This is in a style similar to the Shadows of the U.K. 11. Bounty Hunter. Western with a hint of spaghetti. Sheriff and deputy are comin'. Shiny badges, shiny guns, shiny horses, and a few angels of doom. 12. Surfarian. Surfy Hungarian Dance, embellished with a rousing guitar duo in the middle. A happy dance. 13. Crossings. Strong surf guitar flavor, starting with a long long glissando slide for guitar and bass. Then the rhythm guitar performs a crossing pattern behind a ticking lead guitar, with several interludes. 14. Spring Ceremonial. This is based on Pachelbel's famous "Canon in D" but with liberal changes and rearrangement. The nylon string melody guitar is played fingerstyle. Two more nylon string guitars provide accompaniment, along with bass guitar and light percussion. With its pretty tones, this piece can accompany a ceremony or procession. 15. Turkish Round. This is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Turkish Rondo" played as written by the lead guitar. It's super speedy, at 8 different notes per second in several sections. The bass guitar part and percussion are our own. 16. Parade of the Cowboys. The title says it. They get to twirling lassos, acrobatics, and several tricks. 17. Danger Frog. He hops, he has gold chains and a gun, and he's very froggy. In the finale he delivers the only vocalization in this album. The unpredictable song construction adds to the danger, with changing beats per measure but steady beats per minute. 18. Disappearance. He left on an adventure and we never saw him again. This is a new recording and the improvised section in the middle adds to the mystery. Bluesy yet surfy tone. 19. Skinny Surfing. It's deja vu 1960. Chords like Buddy Holly, melody in the style of the Fireballs and the Lively Ones, get your twist on. 20. The Other Spy. You know "The" spy. His exploits require "The Other Spy." The Other's original riff is on both low E and A strings and is dangerous enough to sprain your fingers. It sprained mine, as it involved finger movements no song previously did.
