简介
Indie-Funk-Hip Hop band Jibba Jabba didn’t form in London in 1992 when Iain MacLeod (Guitar) and Tom Cambata (Drums) were bashing out Nirvana covers after school and worrying about girls. It was one drunken night 20 odd years later after many drunken nights, becoming Music teachers and finally convincing real women to marry them that they had a idea – to start their own jam night! For a couple of years they invited friends to come and have fun, write, arrange and perform Music in the (intimate to say the least) basement of the Constitution, Camden. Naturally a set line up evolved to include Ian Sweet (Bass), Pheonyx 77 and Eve Gordon (Vocals). That’s when they had another idea – to do more gigs and record some songs! Taking influences from Jimi to The Roots, the Chilli Peppers to Outkast from Morcheeba back to Ella, it’s sounding alright to us. When 80% of us are professional Music teachers and 20% is evil genius, surely we have some idea of how to write a tune… Bring a friend and decide for yourself.
