An uplifting hour celebrating the LIVE CD release of The Edge of Everyday, the unique and groundbreaking “cabaritual”! An experiential performance, The Edge of Everyday is a modern mash-up of cabaret, ritual, and performance art. Recorded live at The Metropolitan Room, Sandra explores the seeming paradoxes of life, the bright times and the shadows, through a wide ranging choice of songs…from Davie Bowie and Eric Clapton, to David Cantor and Georgia Stitt. Sandra received a Broadway World nomination for this show in 2015. “Every once in a glorious while, a cabaret entertainer comes along that makes the spectator gasp. So it goes with Sandra Bargman. A mix of cabaret, performance art, and Universalist revival meeting… absolutely heaven-sent!” - Andrew Martin, Cabaret Exchange - Join Sandra and her band, Musical Director Ian Herman at the piano, David Silliman on percussion, and Jerry DeVore on bass for an evening of great music, laughter , and some surprise multi-media. Sacred Stages LLC presents The Edge of Everyday, which explores our fear of change and ultimately, our acceptance of the dichotomies of Life. “The Edge” is where our resistance, our reluctance to embrace the diversity of life, collides with the inevitability of change in all the corners of our lives. Sandra considers the tension between these seeming paradoxes with poignancy and comedy, and with music ranging from David Bowie and Eric Clapton to Georgia Stitt and David Cantor, the show is a rowdy ride! “Her cabaret performance is not only dynamic but powerfully spiritual. The talented Bargman expresses an eclectic spirituality not a specific ideology. She combines a contemporary vibe with a depth and wisdom moving vertically rather than horizontally through her clever performance. Bargman is an oversized sunflower with a distinctive voice.” - Karen Feld, Pushing The Edges on Political Mavens “Sandra Bargman advanced through the audience channeling her inner Sophie Tucker, filling the room with her charisma. She managed to translate her zeal into a fascinating evening of song. “ - Joel Benjamin, Theater Pizzazz “Bargman ….providing some genuine musical thrills.” - Matthew Murray, Talkin’ Broadway “A very different kind of cabaret show…her voice has great power, most commanding on her golden alto notes. Memorable” - Bistro Awards
