简介

How did the idea for the CD "Rayos del sol" come about? Enthusiastic audience after concerts have repeatedly expressed the wish to take that "sunny music" of our ensemble to their home on a CD. With our debut album "Rayos del sol", which translated means "rays of the sun," we finally fullfill this strong desire of many fans. Our love and joy for Spanish rhythms, flamenco-like songs and Latin jazz, in "Rayos del sol" we express in 3 new interpretations of beloved classics and 7 original compositions: La Vuelta - a rumba as a declaration of love for Spain. Cuando Sali de Cuba – about someone who had to bury his heart in Cuba. The Shadow of Your Smile - a well-known Bossa Nova in a new dress. Flechazo - a love at first sight, that disappeared as quickly as it had come. Calle De Recuerdos - a furious flamenco instrumental piece in memory of the faces and experiences in an old street. Para Ti, Para Mi – a punchy flamenco-rock over the unsustainability of a relationship. La Camisa Negra - a reinterpretation of the popular Juanes standards 'unpluged'. Tuesday Afternoon - the musical snapshot of a Tuesday afternoon. Two Days - a 'timeless' Latin Jazz on the reconciliation of past and future. Desafinado - the Desafinado song about the "whimsicality" of two people in love, based on Andalusian tango rhythm. About DESAFINADO: The ensemble "Desafinado" plays songs about passion, love and life from Spain and South America. In predominantly acoustic arrangements and original compositions Desafinado unites the expressiveness of flamenco, the spontaneity of jazz and Spanish pop music to a new style. In addition to front woman Julia Hofmann with supporting and clear voice carried forward melodies, virtuoso improvisations of the two musicians Torsten Hofmann alias 'Costaro' (percussion / piano) and Claus Krogmann (flamenco guitar) always play an important role. Why "Desafinado"? Desafinado, which translates to "out of tune", allows many interpretations. Talking about music, perfect tuning is a utopia. Our system in use of twelve semitones is only possible because the intervals are slightly out of tune. This means that the whimsicality in our western music is the "normal" state, even if the detuning is very small. Against this background, the word "Desafinado" gets a whole new meaning! ... Ultimately, for the three 'Latinos' Julia Hofmann, Torsten Hofmann and Claus Krogmann these aspects considered, to them it means a search for common development in many ways.
