Composer, saxophonist and bandleader Iman Spaargaren is pround to announce his debut-cd 'Flow' with his new group Iman Spaargaren Quartet & Septet. The best musicians on the Dutch jazz scene turn Flow into an album jam-packed with energetic, enthousiastic, modern jazz. The atmosphere of Iman's original compositions and arrangements ranges from excited to dreamy, from light-footed to funky. He has played at numerous festivals such as North Sea Jazzfestival and Manchester Jazzfestival and at jazzclubs such as BIMhuis (Amsterdam). Spaargaren is an internationally very active musician; the last couple of years he did tours in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany and Finland. Spaargaren's saxophone playing catches the ear with his very personal and lyrical tone and inventive use of rhythm.
