简介
Jonee Mackel was a UNISONG 2001 winner with the song 'Waterfall' and his album was described by some as the best independent release of 2001. A self-funded album with a collection of musicians who traveled as far as Aberdeen to record in Bristol, the songs took shape over a 2 week period when various musicians popped up to play and gave the album its pace and sound. Gigging around in the early 2000s Jonee performed at several festivals: The Edinburgh Festival and Greenbelt, among others. His acoustic sound was transformed during the recording process and immediately his music made an impact on many radio stations featuring as track of the week and album of the week on several stations. Jonee has the knack of being able to write prolifically and has written literally thousands of songs. "I find it easier to write a new song than memorise one already written down". Often supporting other acts e.g. Bebo Norman and playing at low key live events or cafes is Jonee's forte as he enjoys the close quarters that mingling with the crowd brings as "it gives. you more of an edge when playing if you can see the faces and hear the immediate response to a chorus or ending of a song". It's taken me 14 years to put the album back out there for public consumption and I trust folks will be pleased to be able to listen, purchase and enjoy these songs again. All sales will be used to fund a second album which is currently being put together in evenings after work. "I trust anyone and everyone will enjoy the honest groove of "Take Me By The Hand". If you do and want more. please support the creativity with your pennies...
