Elder Fred Graves WeR1Ministries@gmail.com Elder Fred Graves, as many anointed psalmist, comes from a long line of preachers and ministers' of music. At the young age of 12, he recognized the gift of song that lied within him. This raw talent was cultivated where he attended high school at the Cleveland School of the Arts, (CSA). His gift began to flourish under the personalized vocal training of nationally renowned Avis Graves. After graduating from CSA in 1987, Elder Fred was given the opportunity to travel with various secular music groups. In 1997, God called Elder Fred back to his roots, the church. It was then, he returned to his home church, Full Gospel Evangelistic Center, where he later became the praise and worship leader. While serving in this office, God began to minister to Elder Fred's spirit about the level of worship in His house. Under the unction of the Holy Spirit, Elder Fred began to emphasize the key element of worship in a believer's life. He often saw the people of God scratching the surface of God's inner court, but rarely entering into His presence. Throughout Elder Fred’s years in ministry, God has blessed him to serve under some of His most devout Generals such as Pastor Michael Exum, Bishop Bill McKinney, Pastor Steve Brock, Dr. C. Jay Matthews, Bishop Larry Macon, Pastor Paul Endrie and Bishop Eddie L. Long. Fred and his wife Chini currently serves under the headship of Bishop David and Tia Maldonado as Elders and Worship leaders of Christ International Church and Fellowship. He also serves as a general board member of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Praise Team under the leadership of General Overseer William H. Murphy III, as the 1ST Assistant to International Worship Leader Overseer Rod Lumpkin, as well as the Midwest Region Minister of Worship. Elder Fred has sung background for the likes of, (William Murphy, Darwin Hobbs, Juanita Bynum, R. Kelly, Men at Large, Lyle Lovett, Byron cage, Freddy Rodriguez, Beverly Crawford and Jonathan Nelson he currently travels with Dr. Marvin Sapp as a background singer). Elder Fred has a desire to instruct believers in genuine and effective worship. He has a unique ability to usher people into God’s presence. His sensitivity to the Holy Spirit brings people from a song service to an energetic, miraculous, prophetic atmosphere. This is just a small glimpse of the vision God has given him. God placed a burden on his heart to advance His worship experience through minstrels and singers. In 2009, Elder Fred completed a Davidic Worship Manual to instruct and assist minstrels and singers in the lifestyle of biblical worship. In 2012, Elder Fred graduated from the McCreary Center for African American Religious Studies; where he plans to return to start his matriculation in the Masters of Practical Theology Program. He also authored his second book Chronicles of A Worshiper, where he gives a bold and open view of his life and call to ministry. Elder Fred focuses on mentoring and instructing minstrels and singers; through workshops and seminars; empowering them to live a balanced lifestyle of worship that will advance the Body of Christ through kingdom worship.
