简介
In 2007, Los Angeles' Little Red Lung was seeded as a dramatic, dynamic and genre-defying musical exhibition, performing in small avant-indie venues across the city of Los Angeles, as well as assembling an extended arsenal of recorded material. In 2009, the band began a two year transplant to the foothills of East Tennessee, stirring the production pot that would eventually emerge as their debut record due for release March 20, 2012. After an extensive Eastern US tour in the Fall of 2010, they permanently transplanted back to their home stomping ground to form a new lineup, and begin hatching a second full-length album, and to nose dive into the live music scene. Little Red Lung has recently graced the cover of Indie Music Reviewer Magazine and has been nominated for LA Artist of the Month by The Deli Magazine. They have rapidly been filling up their calendar with live performances in and around the Los Angeles and Bay areas including being featured on the Ship Stage at the 13th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival, and venues such as The Satellite, The Echo, Hotel Cafe, and The Bootleg Theater as well as hatching pre-production on their second full length album. The heart of Little Red Lung pulses with turbulent leaping harmonies, poised over layers of delicate piano and noise experimentation. Framed by twinkling down-tempo mood shifts, and snarling percussive dirges, Little Red Lung's music invades and engages the guts and nervous system with a vengeance. "This is a haunting piece of music that leaves shivers on your spine as it comes through to the listener that the track easily reflects the emotions of the singer and band. Little Red Lung are trying to take a different approach on the traditional indie sound, they are able to do this, however not completely destroying the overall indie feel to the track. It’s really clever and it works." - Indie Music Reviewer Magazine "How to traverse this sonic world created by Little Red Lung? By horse and buggy? Fast cars? Computer-powered hovercraft? The Los Angeles sextet’s inviting hybrid of chamber-pop and folktronica is difficult to pigeonhole, but over a backdrop of strings, guitar, keys and electronic beats, singer Zoe-Ruth Erwin fashions a lyrical netherworld that feels at once like a diary and art project." - BuzzBands LA "Why such high praise? Well, perhaps because vocalist/keyboardist Zoe-Ruth Erwin has seemingly been summoned from the collective wombs of Tori Amos, Amanda Palmer, and Florence Welch with as much artistic depth of her own to gain the type of devoted following each of those women have. Yet there's something a bit more sinister about the musical magic this band conjures up, a seductive witchery of waltzes that would incite even the most devout crossbearer to do the devil dance. They're brilliant. " - la-underground "Close your eyes. Let Little Red Lung immerse you with their dark imagery and chilling atmospherics. Something most bands cannot do these days. " - The Del Magazine
