STORY FOR THE AGES RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 16, 2006 Julia Wade’s Story For The Ages, produced and orchestrated by Peter Link, is a kaleidoscope of songs that focus on the life, times and teachings of Christ Jesus. The CD is a wonderful mixture of traditional, much-loved songs as well as original offerings by composer, Peter Link. Musically and lyrically, the CD gives rich perspectives from around the world: from an Appalachian carol, “Jesus, Jesus Rest Your Head,” to a Congolese African village’s telling of the story of Lazarus, to the Argentine tango, “Tenemos Esperanza/We Have Hope,” to the ancient Irish air, “Be Thou My Vision.” The focus is international in outreach with a clear vision to bring healing through this music. The CD is a guitar-based album enhanced with rich, textured orchestrations and a lush, versatile choir woven throughout with the amazing vocal arranging of both Margaret Dorn and John Danny Madden. Just as Christ Jesus reaches young and old alike, Story For The Ages is a story that will resonate with all ages.
